  • Twelve airlines recognized for world-class operational performance excellence
  • Two suppliers recognized for outstanding performance in support of Bombardier customers

Bombardier Commercial Aircraft announced today the operators and suppliers that were awarded for their achievements in reaching exceptional operational performances over the last year. A celebratory ceremony took place during the company’s European Regional Review event held in Munich, Germany.

The awards, presented by Bombardier Commercial Aircraft’s Customer Services team, recognize operators of CRJ regional jets and Q-Series turboprops who have logged dispatch reliability rates above 99 per cent during 2014. Widerøes Flyveselskap AS received the award for the eighth consecutive year and Jazz Aviation picked up awards in three categories. Both airlines were part of the 12 outstanding airlines named as recipients of the eighth annual Airline Reliability Performance Awards.

Two suppliers were also honoured with the In-Service Supplier Top Achievement Recognition (STAR) Awards for excellence in providing support to Bombardier customers. To be considered for this award, a supplier must have scored at least 90 per cent in areas deemed most important by Bombardier’s customers, such as: product performance; airline support; and customer focus.

The winners of both Airline Reliability Performance Awards and In-Service STAR Awards are listed in Appendix A.

“On behalf of Bombardier, I congratulate all our winners for their achievements this year. These awards demonstrate the commitment that both Bombardier and its customers have to each other – and it highlights the importance on developing and preserving lasting relationships with both our operators and suppliers,” said Todd Young, Vice President, Customer Services, Bombardier Commercial Aircraft. “Additionally, with the continued investment in our Q-Series and CRJ Series aircraft programs, and as we approach the CSeries aircraft’s entry-into-service it’s a great time to share our collective best practices and recognize achievements.”

From May 26 to May 28, the Bombardier Commercial Aircraft 2015 European Regional Review is an interactive and informative conference designed to promote Bombardier Commercial Aircraft’s Customer Services to local Q-Series, CRJ Series and CSeries aircraft operators, suppliers, partners and industry affiliates. Initially developed to highlight key operational achievements and comprehensive solutions aimed at enhancing in-service and operational experiences, it’s also a unique networking opportunity for airlines, industry experts and program suppliers from across the region. It sets the perfect landscape to share ideas and best practices around increasing reliability and productivity of the aircraft along with cost savings initiatives.
