The CF-18 Demo Hornet, flown by the Demonstration Team pilot, Captain Adam “Manik” Runge, took to the skies with its new paint job on April 4, 2014, at 4 Wing Cold Lake, Alberta. Captain Runge is from 409 Tactical Fighter Squadron, located at Cold Lake.
The masterful design of the 2014 Hornet is the latest of more than 25 such creations from graphic artist Jim Belliveau, and the aircraft is the culmination of countless hours from the hard-working crews at 4 Wing Cold Lake. The new paint scheme was unveiled on March 27, 2014, at Cold Lake.
