Flight Recorders found on Antonov 22 crash site

Investigators have found the flight recorders at the scene of the An-22 plane crash. They will be sent for deciphering as soon as possible. The Antonov An-22 plane  crashed on Tuesday killing all 12 crewmen. Investigators have found several body parts  at the scene of the An-22 plane crash.

Burning remains of the Russian Air Force An-22 transport plane that went down Tuesday night have been spotted from the air in the Tula Region south of Moscow.

The Russian Air Force Commander-in-Chief has ordered suspension of flights by the An-22 and Tu-95 MS military aircraft due to yesterday’s crash of an An-22 military cargo plane in the Tula Region and the need to investigate the cause and circumstances of the accident.

The Tu-95 MS strategic bombers have been grounded for the reason that they are powered by the same engines as the An-22 cargo planes.

According to a spokesman for the Air Force, all possible leads on the crash are now being followed up.
