2009-10-14 | The two Gripen landed at Pleso 91st Air Force Base in Zagreb. The purpose of the visit was bilateral military co-operation. One of the Swedish pilots that landed was of Croatian descent and he introduced Gripen to the Croatian pilots in their native language which was much appreciated.
After visiting Croatia, the aircraft set course for Hungary to participate in the combat training exercise “Lion Effort 2009”, where also the Croatian Air Force will participate as observers.
