The F-35 Cooperative Avionics Test Bed takes off on a test flight over Fort Worth, Texas. The "CATBird" carries the entire F-35 avionics suite, and began in-flight integration of sensor information on Nov. 25. The testing is designed to validate F-35 avionics in an airborne environment before their flight on the first avionics-equipped F-35 next year.
